Sandler First Printer to Install Prinect Inspection Control in Austria
Prinect Inspection Control shipped with a Speedmaster XL 105.
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has installed
the first Prinect Inspection Control in the Austrian market at the
Sandler print shop in Marbach-an-der-Donau. The system was
delivered in combination with a Speedmaster XL 105 with a coating
unit and complete logistics system. Sandler produces high-quality
commercial printwork and folding boxes and was looking for premium
quality in color and print image control, as well as seamless
documentation of its measurement results, with at the same time no
loss in productivity. So when they decided on a new Speedmaster XL
105, Sandler added to their order the color measurement system
Prinect Image Control and the inline sheet inspection system
Prinect Inspection Control, launched by Heidelberg at Ipex 2006.
Prinect Inspection Control is the perfect partner with
Prinect Image Control, and its two high-resolution RGB cameras
enable it to easily and reliably identify the smallest of printing
errors, such as hickeys, missing print, ink splashes, streaks and
scratches, the moment they happen, while retaining full production
speed. The system is fully integrated in the Speedmaster XL 105
coating unit and is positioned so closely to the sheet travel that
high-quality inspection is possible right up to the rear edge of
the sheet.
"Reliable and top print quality, keeping to deadlines
and verifiable quality control are what our customers expect from
us today. The Speedmaster XL 105 together with the two Heidelberg
measurement systems for color control and sheet inspection help us
to fully satisfy these demands," says General Manager Hannes
Sandler, summing up their investment decision.
