Five Heidelberg Application Centers and 60 Applications at drupa

05/05/2004

Focus on productivity benefits in the end product

Unique among exhibitors at drupa 2004, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will showcase the full spectrum of print products that can be realized with Heidelberg solutions, such as brochures, flyers, packaging, magazines and much more, at special Application Centers. Every one of the five market segments Industrial Commercial Printing, Commercial Printing, Packaging Printing, Variable Data Printing and Web Offset Printing has its own devoted Application Center. Here, Heidelberg staff will demonstrate typical printing jobs for each of these areas, created in various workflows, machine configurations and production stages, for customers and other interested visitors.

The Application Centers will give visitors to the trade show the opportunity to see for themselves the performance capabilities of the Heidelberg solutions with regard to efficient production and high quality end products. "This will demonstrate to our customers how a needs-oriented, powerful printshop workflow can yield advances in productivity and cost savings," says Dr. Klaus Spiegel, Member of the Management Board and responsible for products and marketing.

The Application Centers will also serve as forums for discussions with customers and visitors interested in application-related topics in special segments. Visitors can expect to gain a comprehensive overview of the relevant segment and learn practical details about the various production steps within a workflow and the latest technology in the particular segment.
