MDAX overall winner in manager magazin's annual evaluation
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG emerged as one of the
winners in the "Best Annual Report" prize awarded by
"manager magazin". "manager magazin" has been
analyzing the annual reports of the major companies listed on the
MDAX stock exchange every year since 1995. This time, there were a
total of 461 reports, which were categorized into content,
appearance, language and financial communication. In the overall
ranking of all the annual reports, Heidelberg achieved fourth
place. For the first time ever, this year's analysis included a
comparison of the most significant stock exchange indices. The
winners of the 1999/2000 annual report prize were named yesterday
evening in Frankfurt.
"The Annual Report is a key tool for communicating with
our shareholders", states Heidelberg Finance Director Dr.
Herbert Meyer. "We have a duty to meet the information
requirements of our investors." This is why Heidelberg sets
great store by a transparent, clear and visually-appealing
presentation of facts and figures.
As the winner in the MDAX category, Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG lies ahead of Jenoptik AG and Fresenius AG. In
the overall ranking, the Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG
occupied first place, with second place being awarded by
"manager magazin" to Mannheimer AG Holding. Third place
went to Bayer AG.
